    Student Evaluation and Feedback
Teacher feedback is instrumental to the student's learning process. This workshop will cover the fundamentals in providing student feedback and error correction. We will look at student errors as evidence that progress is being made. Analyzing errors clarifies exactly where the students have progressed and helps teachers to determine problematic areas, which will help teachers set future lessons. Providing students with constructive feedback will build confidence, raise students’ awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, and acknowledge achievement while helping the student to become more accurate in the particular skill area.

    ENGLISH FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS
This workshop is designed for the English teacher who wants the opportunity to fine-tune his or her English skills. While the teacher may know the rules of grammar, and have been teaching for years, the aim of this session is to be a refresher in the use of English as it is used today. Teachers will be given the chance to increase both their fluency and their accuracy as they work through an overview of the English language and address some of the common grammatical trouble spots encountered by students. Some topics we will explore will be the nature of Sri Lankan English, as well as its role in the classroom.
