Why should I take additional English language training?    
    If English is not your first language and you are planning to study or work abroad, the English language training is designed to better equip you for academic and professional advancement.

Is English Language training mandatory if I want to study at a university in Canada?    
    Yes, post-secondary institutions all require a certain level of English along with proof of adequate academic background. Each institution reserves the right to test your English proficiency. The skills you learn in the English Language Program are directly related to the kinds of skills you need to be successful when you start your degree.

How long is the English Language Program?    
    There are 4 levels and each level is 4 hours per week for 8 weeks. ^ Top  
                                 
 
Who does the testing for the English Language training program?

What are the requirements to study at a university or college in Canada?    
    Each university has its own entrance requirements and will assess you on an individual basis. There is no nationwide set of entrance exams. The university will determine the equivalency of your academic credentials.

What is the difference between a degree and a diploma?    
    A degree is a three-or four- year bachelors program; a bachelor's or undergraduate degree takes either three or four years to complete. A four-year degree is an honours degree and is required if you wish to pursue a master’s degree. A master’s degree is a prerequisite for a PhD.A diploma is a two- year program that is offered at a technical or vocational college.

Is a degree from Canada recognized in other countries?    
    A degree from a Canadian university is recognized worldwide. Canadians place a lot of emphasis on education and demand first-rate schools. Canada spends more per capita on its education system than any other country in the G-7 and is among the top three countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

How long does it take to process a student application and student visa?    
    First, you will need to apply to an academic institution. This can take 3 to 6 months. Once you have received acceptance to a university or college,then you can apply for a student visa. This process can take three to six months.

What are the student visa requirements?    
    To study in a Canadian university, you will need a student visa. Once you have applied and been accepted into a Canadian institution, then you can apply for a student visa. If you are planning to study in Quebec, you will also need a Certificate of Acceptance, which is issued through the Quebec Government.

Do we have to take IELTS or TOEFL if we take additional English Language training?    
    Yes, IELTS or TOEFL is a requirement for both academic institutions and Immigration Canada.

Can I work while studying in Canada?    
    A student is allowed to work on the campus where they are studying without a work permit. If you want to work off campus, you must have a job offer that has been confirmed by Human Resources Development Canada and a valid study permit in order to apply for a Work Permit within Canada.
